Our patients, staff, and volunteers’ safety is our top priority, and we are here to help you. Appointments are now virtual by default with the exception of diagnostic assessments. You may find receiving stellar care from the location of your choosing quite appealing.
Tomika Chappell, Psy.D., CCC-SLP, CBIS founder of Nowlogy Therapeutic Services, Think Again Speak Again Therapy, and World Sponsored Therapy of MadeQuest’s Service Division provides experienced and compassionate inclusive evaluation, treatment, education, and support as a renowned Certified and Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, Brain Injury Specialist, Psychotherapist with two decades of experience and commitment to the brain injury community.
Dr. Chappell started her career in Speech-Language Pathology assessing and treating developmental and acquired neurological based cognitive, speech, language, swallowing, and hearing disorders. She then continued in Clinical Psychology with specialization in Neurology. After testing and treating individuals with emotional, personality, learning, aging, and developmental disorders in long term care, she merged the two careers to focus on neuropsychological treatment and neurological based rehabilitation stemming from etiologies such as:

-Acute Cognitive Changes and/or Decline
-Developmental Delays
-Relationship Coping and Adjustment
-Discharge from Hospital and Rehabilitation
-Stroke/Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA)
-Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
-Swallowing Difficulty

As the impact of changes in patient’s independence, personality, and family dynamics ensue, emotional and neurological needs are also addressed in this uniquely credentialed practice. Our combination of services are unique to Dr. Chappell’s rare dual education and vast training across fields. Families need adequate education and support to met each area of need as they arise.
Dr. Chappell has a passion for accurate and thorough assessment and intervention of Cognitive, Neuro-related, Language, Swallowing, and Voice differences and disorders for critical need populations ranging from premature birth to hospice, including ventilator dependency, tracheotomy care, tube feeding as primary means of nutrition, Passy Muir Valve (PMV), Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES), Modified Barium Swallow Study (MBSS) assessment, interpretations, extensive staff and caregiver education.
Dr. Chappell’s Doctoral Neurology concentration, CHOA Advanced Swallowing Evaluation & Treatment Competency, extended experience with Traumatic Brain Injury, Acute Care, Adult Intensive Care Units (ICU), Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU), Shock Trauma, Surgical Trauma, Neuro ICU, Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation, and Day Rehabilitation training have exponentially grown her passion for the brain injury community and facilitating development. Her extensive work with these traumatic experiences throughout the lifespan fuel her commitment to improving neurological and developmental delays with the tools to address the mental health of families in mind, a combination you will not find anywhere else.
